Jun 14, 2019 First, launch Safari on your Mac, if you haven't already. Click on the Safari menu and click on Preferences. From the preferences window, select the Search tab. Click the Search engine drop – down menu and choose the search engine you want to use (Google in our case). From your iOS device's home screen, tap Settings, and then scroll down and tap Safari. Then, to Search Engine, you'll see the current default search engine, likely Google. To make a change, tap Search Engine. Finally, choose a different search engine from four options: Google, Yahoo, Bing, and DuckDuckGo.

Each Internet browser uses a default search engine. When you type a query into the address bar, a specific search service (e.g., Google, Bing, Yahoo!, etc.) sends you the results.
